SafelyHome is looking for a Monitoring and Engagement Volunteer to focus on news and organisations. This role involves monitoring internet news each week related to women’s safety, identifying councils with good women’s safety strategies and providing summaries, and writing at least two weekly blogs on contemporary issues. You’ll also prepare an internal weekly factsheet on the organisational landscape and take part in weekly check-in calls with the engagement team to discuss wider strategies.
This role doesn’t require any experience, although any background in research or writing is preferable. A basic understanding of women’s safety as an inherently gendered issue is essential, and you should either live in the UK or have lifelong knowledge of the UK. This is a volunteer position.
SafelyHome is a safety organisation dedicated to improving women’s safety and raising awareness of strategies and solutions that make communities safer.
